The 10553 is a combination of a receiver module and a remote control.

Because of the RF technology, you can hide the receiver module almost wherever you want, even in another room.

If you install it somewhere where you still have access to it (in the garage for example), you can make full use of the buttons on the receiver module, which allow you to operate the screen even when you've lost the remote, or when your batteries are flat.This means you never have to miss a movie night because you have misplaced your remote (or someone has done that for you..)
