Description

What makes this screen special:

1.    Roller tube

Plain round tubes with a small diameter are often used in projection screens. To avoid a heavy screen and to keep the cost low. The result is a screen with wrinkles and marks that is unsuitable for high definition projection.
The Q-series uses two tubes with a wide 80 mm diameter and the special AL (Anti Leathermark) design. This special design reduces horizontal lines and creates a surface

2.    Alignment of the rollers

There are two roller tubes mounted in the housing of the projection screen. They are positioned in such a way that the distance between the masking fabric and the projection screen fabric is minimal.
By reducing this distance, you completely avoid shadows that would otherwise have a negative effect on your projection. These shadows would appear in the image on the screen, all along the top border – ruining that part of the movie.

3.    Installation of the case – easy

A projection screen with 2 fabrics, 2 motors and a big housing is heavy. There’s no way around that. So it was kept in mind when the mounting system was designed. It was not possible to reduce the weight of the screen without weakening the structure. And that’s why the mounting system allows you to simply hook in the screen as a first installation step.
This avoids you having to hold the heavy screen for a long time and keeps the installation safe.

4.    The integrated RF remote is completely invisible, so in stead of having to hide 2 RF receiver boxes, they are invisibly integrated in the projection screen’s motor.

5.    A seperate remote that’s used for programming only. This ensures that once the settings haven been done, there’s no risk of an accidental error leading to a programming error

6.    A motor adjustment system that allows you to set both fabrics to an exact height, millimeter by millimeter. This micro-adjustment system ensures that your picture is perfectly framed in with the black borders.

What’s included with the screen?

1.    The Q-series multiformat projection screen
2.    A remote to program the projection screen
3.    A remote to operate the projection screen
4.    Set of 2 brackets to wall or ceiling mount screen (3 pieces for screens with a housing over 3 meters wide)

How you can customise the Q-series?

A.    Customising the case or the fabric width

You can customise the case of the screen to fit a certain space. Or you can specify a certain image width, to perfectly suit the projector at a certain distance.

The calculation is easy:
For a non-tensioned screen, the case is: image width + 21 cm
For a tensioned screen, the case is: image width + 46 cm

Keep in mind that the minimum case size is 250 cm and the maximum case size is 325 cm

B.    Customising the black border height.

The standard top black border is 10 cm high, when the screen is in 16:9 format. This can be increased to a maximum of 30 cm.
This adjustment allows you to have the viewable image at a lower level. This is an option you can use when you have a high ceiling.

How many formats does the screen have and what about custom formats?

The screen has 7 formats, with 2 seperate buttons: 1 to close the screen (screen fabric completely rolled in) and 1 to stop the screen.
You can choose the formats you want yourself, or you can have the programming done for you in the factory. A combination of both is possible to, where you define a few formats and leave the others for future use.

Which fabric types are available?

There is a wide range of fabrics available:
1.    Matt white with a gain of 1.5 and a black back (most popular)
2.    Matt white with a gain of 1.2 and a white back (perfect for light-controlled rooms)
3.    Matt white microperforated with a gain of 1.0 and a white back (the right choice if you want your speakers behind your screen)
4.    Grey high contrast fabric with a gain of 1.0 (best used when there’s a lot of light in the room and your projector does not have a high contrast level)
