Creative projector lift installations
A
projector lift
is often installed into a false ceiling. Here are some creative ways to integrate a projector lift if you don't have a false ceiling.
1.
Build a surrounding wooden frame
. This completely hides the projector lift and when you paint the wooden structure in the colour of the ceiling, it will stand out less.
2.
Build a frame which has integrated lighting
. By masking the projector lift with a lamp, you not only hide the projector and lift, but have a unit that is functional even when the lift isn't used. Make sure the lights are integrated around the projector lift, otherwise you'll end up dealing with the power cords that are attched to the lights.
3.
If you have beams in our ceiling, use these to hide the projector lift.
Adding surrounding panels to further hide the lift will help in camouflaging your projector lift.
When choosing a colour for the panels, you can either go for the colour of the ceiling or match the colour of the beams.
Additional tips:
1. Use a
RF remote control
to operate the lift. A RF remote does not require the receiver unit to be in sight, allowing you to perfectly hide the receiver unit.
2. When using an
IR remote
, make sure that there is a free line of sight between the place where you operate the lift (for example from your chair) and the receiver's eye close to the lift.
